Certification

Every modification on an aircraft must be certified under authority of a national aviation authority or other organization.

Protoplane, in partnership with other european or north american companies has certified near 200 modifications in 9 years, from the attachment of a seat to drilling two 520 mm diameter holes in the same fuselage.

Protoplane is on the road to get an EASA DOA. EASA is the European Aviation Safety Agency, specialized agency of the European Community in charge of aviation and DOA is Design Organization Approval.

That Approval is compulsory to design modification on aircrafts (except ultralights) and to follow modified aircrafts.
